About this project

Personal fanzine (little book) about the island of Malta where I lived for 2 years.

“Mela” (pronounced meh-la), is a maltese word used by the locals for literally everything. (Ex: How are you today? Mela, allright allright and you?)

I wanted to create a comic of repetition through the pages with this word as the locals say it all the time.

The book is 148 x 210 mm and has 32 pages.

Inner pages & cover printed by Pixel Malta, top cover in translucent paper laid out and handstiched. Photographs and text by me.
