Danila Dilba Health Service
Developmental Checks at DDHS
About this project
This animation project was developed in partnership with Danila Dilba Health Services to tackle the significant stigma and fear surrounding child development screenings within Aboriginal communities in the Northern Territory. Many families experience language barriers and anxiety, leading to reluctance in seeking necessary support.
Our animation reframes routine checks as a positive and proactive process, demonstrating that early intervention is a pathway to support, not a judgment. It aims to build trust and encourage families to engage with health services.
This is a fully custom animation, crafted from concept to completion. The process began with hand-drawn storyboards to visualise the narrative. Detailed illustrations were then created, character design, followed by meticulous animation. This hands-on approach ensured a high level of quality and attention to details and a realistic and respectful representation of Aboriginal people.
